Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born South London, England into a family of mixed blood. She has a mother who is English and her father Nigerian. She was a student at The Brit School when she was fourteen years old. She was a student at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London which she graduated with an BA in acting. While attending the school, she appeared in numerous stage productions including King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started acting in Storm Damage. Since then, she's been a guest star for Teachers, Doctors, Casualty, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film role was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), alongside Colin Farrell. Following this acclaim, she appeared as Elisha on her role on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as in six episodes Trexx and Flipside. The ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl was her first appearance in the year 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe was the main character for How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedy released in the year 2008. The credits she has in her theatre work comprise Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams and Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe first aired in the US by presenting The Beautiful Life. The drama show was telecast at The CW for only two episodes before being removed from the air. The actress was selected in February 2011, as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. The departure of Madekwe from the show was officially announced in May of 2013. After a period of two years as the main character she was a guest in the first episode of season 3. The actress played Tituba in the TV show Salem from 2014 to. Madekwe and her partner who has been with her for a long time, Iddo Goldenberg, were wedding in June of 2012. They worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Goldberg also appeared with her on Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with an extended family. Ashley Leggat joined Roy and Patty along with her three older siblings: Brett, Todd and Bram and Rob. Ashley's brothers, who were who were all extremely physically active, were all playing hockey in the winters and baseball in the summers, meaning she basically grew up in arenas and baseball parks. Ashley didn't walk, instead she was a dancer. In the age of two and half, she found Baby Ballet. Ashley was hooked on dance since that time. Ashley performed in competitive ballet, tap and jazz in the high divisions. Every major dance festivals, like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and others, have awarded her with the distinction of "top soloist".
